Overview
Greenview provided full multi-discipline engineering for PARC Pavilion, a new state of the art hospitality development in Cronulla. The multi-level venue overlooks Munro Park and delivers a striking, contemporary experience for guests.
As the hospitality engineer on the project, Greenview coordinated structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and ESD engineering within a single model. The bold curved architecture, with its suspended arcs, wide open windows and hanging gardens, demanded close collaboration between every discipline.
The challenge
A curved, multi-level building with suspended arcs and expansive glazing presents complex engineering demands. Structural loads, services routes and environmental performance all had to be resolved around an ambitious architectural form, while meeting the servicing needs of a busy hospitality venue and its hanging garden features.
Greenview's approach
Every discipline was modelled together in Greenview's coordinated REVIT environment, allowing structural, civil and building services elements to be aligned and clashes resolved before construction. This combined Building Information Modelling approach kept the complex geometry buildable and gave the architect and builder confidence in a fully coordinated set of documentation.
